Since I had my girls I feel like everything I do is for them. Many of the things I used to do to take care of myself have been moved to the back burner, including eating and exercising right. As Amelia gets older I feel worse and worse about the leftover baby weight. Hello….my baby is now 14 months old!!!!! So with 30+ pounds to lose, I decided I HAD to fix it!
I subscribe to groupon.com (daily deals in the ATL) and about 6 weeks ago an offer came up for boot camp. Four weeks, five days a week for $44. This was my chance!!!! I knew 4 weeks wouldn’t take care of everything, but it was what I needed to jump-start my fitness! So with my friends Ashley and Eryn, I began my boot camp journey. Day 1 we ran a mile (12 minutes 45 seconds) and did as many sit-ups (30) and push-ups (25 girl push-ups) as we could in 2 minutes.
Today as week 4 ended, we did our test again. My mile was 10 minutes 17 seconds, I did 57 sit-ups, and 18 boy push-ups, 25 girl push-ups. Still not fabulous, but so much better! Even better, my clothes are fitting better and I feel great! I am not always happy about getting up at 4:50 in the morning, but once I am done with the workout I am so happy!!!
The feeling is so good Ashley, Eryn, and I are starting week 5 on Monday! I can’t wait to see where the next 4 weeks will take us!
